Pottery Session

2 Hour Clay Experience at Bobo Pottery

Looking for a beginner pottery class or creative activity? This hands-on, two-hour experience is designed as the perfect introduction to clay — no experience required.

Your session is thoughtfully divided into three parts, giving you the chance to explore multiple techniques in one creative evening.

What to Expect

Wheel Throwing (Approx. 40 Minutes)
Start at the pottery wheel, where you’ll learn the basics of centering clay and shaping a simple form. Instructors guide you step-by-step through the process, helping you experience the movement and rhythm of wheel throwing.

Handbuilding Basics (Approx. 40 Minutes)
Next, explore foundational handbuilding techniques such as slab construction or pinch pots. You’ll learn how clay pieces come together and how simple forms can become functional pottery.

Glazing & Surface Design (Approx. 40 Minutes)
To finish your session, you’ll decorate one pre-bisqued dish using underglazes and studio glazes. We’ll guide you through basic glazing techniques so you can design a finished piece that reflects your style.

Your decorated dish will be clear glazed and kiln fired by our studio team.

Pickup is available within 72 hours.
